Lion Court Conference Centre

Lion Court Conference Centre is an amazing conference and meeting venue in Leicestershire. I do their marketing for them and have recently revamped their website.

It is a meeting and conference facility near to Melbourne, Derbyshire and Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Leicestershire. It is set right in the heart of the National Forest.

The conference centre takes up the west wing of Staunton Harold Hall. The hall was bought by John Blunt in 2003. Prior to that it was a Sue Ryder Home, a Leonard Cheshire Home and used by the army. Like a lot of such places, it fell into some disrepair as the funds simplyt were not there to keep it up.

When the building was purchased, Lion Court Conference Centre was converted into managed offices. I have my office here and I can tell you that it is worth every penny. From the drive down a mile-long private road through the trees, to sitting overlooking the lake, it is the perfect place to work.

The conference and meeting facility has been refurbished more recently. It has all the usual state of the art equipment and costs a good deal less than many rivals. Conferences can be catered for up to 50 people at Lion Court – there is also occasionally the opportunity to use the main hall for larger conferences. However, this is strictly at the family’s discretion.

Where Lion Court Conference Centre really works well is for meetings. You can get here in ten minutes from East Midlands Airport and hire a meeting room for as little as £15 an hour or £50 a day. Even the large conference room only costs £200 a day (0r £100 for people who have an office here).

If you are fed up of meetings in hotel lobbies, or impersonal conference venues on industrial estates, then Lion Court Conference Centre is the place to hold your event.

Carpet Fitting

Mike Jones Carpets is a small family-run carpet sitting and carpet selection company based near Swadlincote.

I did their website for them a month or so back, so I thought I would give them a plug and hopefully send some business their way.

They work around Swadlincote, Woodville, Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Burton, Midway, Bretby, Measham, Tamworth, Lichfield, Derby and the rest of Derbyshire and Staffordshire.

They are aexperts at fitting carpets and can come to your home to provide you wish choices. Seems a lot more civilised than parking in town and trying to find a carpet you like!

What they said about me:

"We were very impressed with the professional personal service provided by Simon Brandon Marketing Limited, Simon followed our guidelines and came up with a very impressive website."

ANNE JONES, MIKE JONES CARPETS LTD

Which was very nice of them!

So, if you live around Swadlincotre and the surrounding areas, and you need a new carpet, then may I heartily recommend them!

Derbyshrie Farmhouse Holiday Let

Not posted for quite a while, but just wanted to plug a new site I have done:

Derbyshire-Farmhouse

It is a site for the owners of a lovely old farmhouse in Derbyshire who have renovated it and turned it into a holiday let. It takes 13 people and really is in a great part of the countryside, with views across Derbyshire farmland.

There are also a couple of cottages nearby down the private lane, meaning that groups of up to 25 could stay there and have an amazing countryside holiday.

It has a great breakfast kitchen with massive French doors that open out onto the garden, a games room with pool table, 6 bedrooms (two en suite) and an open fire in the sitting room. It also has two other living rooms, so a big group could easily holiday there.

It was previously a farmhouse and retains many original features.

So, if it is a farmhouse in Derbyshire that you are looking for, then Derbyshire Farmhouse (called Twenty Acres) is for you!

Oakley Sunglasses UK

I have set up a new website to sell Oakley Sunglasses in the UK. It is at www.oakley-sunglasses.net

Now why on Earth would anyone want to buy Oakley Sunglasses I hear you cry. Well, maybe not cry but mildly think... Aren't they just for show-off Americans and completely unsuited to the UK?

Well I don't think so (obviously). Oakley sunglasses are really great things - n the UK or anywhere. They have fantastic lenses (and I've had a few different shades in my time) and are extremely comfortable to wear. What is more, Oakleys are available in a massive range of styles, from the "standard" sporty wraparound style, to restrained wire-frame sunglasses.

So... if you want to know anymore, just go to my Oakley Sunglasses UK store.
