Lion Court Conference Centre
Lion Court Conference Centre is an amazing conference and meeting venue in Leicestershire. I do their marketing for them and have recently revamped their website.
It is a meeting and conference facility near to Melbourne, Derbyshire and Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Leicestershire. It is set right in the heart of the National Forest.
The conference centre takes up the west wing of Staunton Harold Hall. The hall was bought by John Blunt in 2003. Prior to that it was a Sue Ryder Home, a Leonard Cheshire Home and used by the army. Like a lot of such places, it fell into some disrepair as the funds simplyt were not there to keep it up.
When the building was purchased, Lion Court Conference Centre was converted into managed offices. I have my office here and I can tell you that it is worth every penny. From the drive down a mile-long private road through the trees, to sitting overlooking the lake, it is the perfect place to work.
The conference and meeting facility has been refurbished more recently. It has all the usual state of the art equipment and costs a good deal less than many rivals. Conferences can be catered for up to 50 people at Lion Court – there is also occasionally the opportunity to use the main hall for larger conferences. However, this is strictly at the family’s discretion.
Where Lion Court Conference Centre really works well is for meetings. You can get here in ten minutes from East Midlands Airport and hire a meeting room for as little as £15 an hour or £50 a day. Even the large conference room only costs £200 a day (0r £100 for people who have an office here).
If you are fed up of meetings in hotel lobbies, or impersonal conference venues on industrial estates, then Lion Court Conference Centre is the place to hold your event.
